Business Coach

Cathy Forner was a Career Mentor for this unique initiative of Economic Development Lethbridge. RWEIT is dedicated to supporting self-identified women and non-binary entrepreneurs in rural Alberta who develop tech enabled, scalable product or service that can demonstrate value and desirability in the marketplace. A total of 37 hours of coaching was delivered to 10 participants over an 11-month program.
As a Career Mentor, Cathy's role included the following:
Recruit and engage program clients. Conduct client intake and orientation.
Act as point of contact for questions and concerns and escalate issues as appropriate.
Advise and coach women entrepreneurs, from intake through the entire entrepreneurial journey to ensure a smooth and barrier free opportunity to develop, grow, and scale their business.
Co-create, with the client, a work plan to address their needs and connect then to both RWEIT program supports and other resources in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Follow up on client progress and update CRM and other data collection platforms as needed.
Collaborate with internal team members to address customers’ needs.
Input data into CRM and other data collection platforms and track key client metrics.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of programs and services in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Provide written and verbal progress reports identifying: recruitment/ engagement activities, # of clients engaged, success stories, trends and identify areas where RWEIT program can fill gaps in service offerings across Alberta.
